FAQ's About HiLook Analogue Cameras

Is there a Warranty on HiLook Analogue Products ?

Purchasing any Hikvision item from this store will come with a guaranteed ONE YEAR WARRANTY, we provide this warranty to ensure all of our customers get the best after sales support they need.

What cabling goes with Analogue cameras ?

Hikvision analogue cameras use coaxial cables, typically RG59 or RG6, for video transmission. Power is supplied separately, often via a two-core power cable.

What is the difference between 2,4 and 5MP HiLook analogue cameras ?

The primary difference between 2MP, 4MP, and 5MP HiLook analogue cameras is their resolution:

  • 2MP (1080p): Provides a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, offering clear images suitable for most general surveillance needs.
  • 4MP: Delivers a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, offering greater detail and clarity than 2MP, useful for capturing finer details.
  • 5MP: Provides a resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels, offering the highest level of detail among the three, ideal for scenarios where high image clarity is crucial.

Higher megapixels result in more detailed images, which can be useful for identifying faces or reading license plates.

What is ColorVu Technology ?

ColorVu Technology by Hikvision allows IP cameras to capture full-color video in extremely low-light conditions, providing clear and detailed images 24/7. It uses advanced lenses, high-performance sensors, and supplemental warm lighting to enhance nighttime visibility, unlike traditional cameras that switch to black and white in low light.

Can I view these cameras remotely ?

Yes, you can view HiLook cameras remotely using the Hik-Connect app or a web browser. Set up involves configuring port forwarding on your router, possibly using Dynamic DNS (DDNS), and ensuring your camera is connected to the internet.
